These are the rules for role-playing.
1. You should write at least 1 role-play a week. This is not mandatory, but remember, if you do not role-play for a month, your character will be put on hiatus.
2. You may not attack any other player controlled character, unless it is sanctioned by the admins, and in that instance, you may not kill the other character unless we give the go ahead.
3. Once a week, (on sundays) we will pick two characters at random to go head to head. They will each write two role-plays, and after that the admins will decide who wins. The loser will lose one of their Lazarus Pit uses, the winner will receive a character perk.
4. You earn points based on how well you write your role-plays, how you kill the guards/blackgate prisoners in each role-play. You will not get very many points if you just write an 8 word role-play saying "I kill 100 blackgate prisoners using a knife." It's less based on how many you kill, more based on the quality of your role-play.
5. You can spend points to get different character perks, and to buy henchmen. Henchmen will act as a bonus for points, earning you more points for each of your role-plays.
6. Henchmen are not off limits to kill, and will actually award you more points than regular prisoners/guards, but be warned, your henchmen are not off limits too, and if you take away someone else's bonus, they're going to want to take away yours too.
7. No character can just "escape" from Arkham. That's the point of this game, to get enough points to gain your freedom. If you write a role-play where your character just leaves, you will lose a use of the Lazarus pit, for the first time, 2nd time you will lose your other use, third time your character will be killed.
This is the announcement that leads to the "Arkhamites" knowing what's going on in APMR. Feel free to use it in a roleplay if you wish.
Ladies and Gentlemen, prisoners of Arkham Prison for the Mentally Rogue. This is Mr. Blank speaking. I have recently bought Arkham Asylum and Blackgate prison and combined them. This was for your benefit as well as mine. You see, there has been a plague on Gotham for far too long. This plague is not you, dear Arkhamites. The plague is the guards that take care of you. The plagues is the pety criminals held at Blackgate prison. The plague is one to which you, my dear friends, are the cure. And I intend to reward you for your service. For each Blackgate prisoner and guard you kill, you will receive “points.” You can use the points to buy back your weapons, your powers and your technology. You can also use these points to get your freedom. Get one million points and you will receive your freedom. This is not a joke. I am prepared to offer you this deal. Happy killings.
